This patient-centered philosophy stems partly from Steve Case's own personal experiences with the health care system. When his brother Dan Case was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Steve experienced first-hand the frustration, delay and powerlessness that so many patients and their families feel. He vowed to do something to make health care simpler and more user-friendly.
The cornerstone of the company is RevolutionHealth.com, a free, innovative online resource designed for people to be able to visit not just when they are feeling sick, but to visit frequently to stay healthy and to live a healthy lifestyle. Everything found on RevolutionHealth.com has been designed around the goal of empowering people by putting them at the center of their own personal health.
